After revealing that he is dating the Italian director Marco Calvani, the actor Marco Pigossi (32) was among the most talked about subjects on Twitter on the 25th. This was the first time that Pigossi felt free to talk about his homosexuality. After the revelation, the actor even received hateful comments on his social networks.

This Saturday, 27, the actor used his Instagram profile to thank the affection he’s been getting from fans, followers and personalities.

“About existing and resisting: Regarding the latest news, I want to thank all the messages of affection and respect. May the discussion become more and more present and more natural. May love be stronger and stronger. After all, we know that hate comes from fear. Fear of the different and the new. May we no longer be afraid to exist! A kiss to all of you ❤️🏳️‍🌈”, wrote Marco Pigossi when posting a photo in which he appears with his hands clasped in thanks.

Netflix Brasil, the actor’s current contractor, commented in the publication and declared: “We love you a lot ❤️❤️❤️❤️”.

“Shocking zero people”

Marco Pigossi revealed that he is dating the Italian director Marco Calvani, who lives in New York, in the United States, in a photo in the stories on his official Instagram profile. “Shocking zero people”, said the actor when reposting the image. Calvani also took the opportunity to publish the same image in the feed of his social network, saying “Thank you for that”.

Until then, Marco Pigossi had always been discreet about his sexual orientation, and the biggest “clue” he gave was in 2016, when he said on social media that “pleasure has no gender”, after denying that he had sex with other men.

“I make these invented words my own words: pleasure has no gender. And may this be more and more repeated and remembered in this moment of intolerance and lack of humanity that we are living through. As for the other statements, they are and will always be just words thrown in the wind”, he said at the time.

Currently a resident of New York, United States, Marco Calvani is 40 years old and, in addition to being a filmmaker, he is an actor and writer. His debut as a playwright took place in 2002 with “Quasi”, a work demanded by the European Social Forum. His text “Strong Hands” was also successful and was translated into several languages. Calvani has received several awards as a playwright and teaches writing and acting courses in the United States and Europe.

In 2011, Calvani made a guest appearance on the TV series Borgia. The Italian is also founder and director of Mixò, an international cultural center based in Rome that brings together young actors and writers.
