Reports of anxiety and fear in gay men during the pandemic is the theme of the film “Air”

In addition to “Alano”, “Disjointed”, “Remodeling” and “The gift”, another Brazilian short film that stands out in the “Curta Woofs” show, made by the SCRUFF app, is “Ar” (2020). The film written, directed and acted by Pernambuco’s Marcelo Oliveira and William Oliveira, from the collective 7th Art of the Valley.

In the plot, the protagonist is Gleydson, a 35-year-old gay independent artist who lives in the Boa Vista neighborhood, in the center of Recife. He is inside the house, alone, without contact with his family and trying to face a deadly threat. He tries to escape the danger that is surrounding his home.

The films of the show, which were curated by André Fischer (Festival MixBrazil), can be accessed for free through the “Events” tab, in the “Explore” tab of the SCRUFF app, until March 25th. The SCRUFF app is available on the App Store and Google Play.
