The information is from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/society\/2020\/nov\/20\/call-for-tougher-penalties-in-uk-for-possession-of-chemsex-drugs\">The Guardian<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/gay.blog.br\/scruff-responde\/chemsex-a-pratica-de-fazer-sexo-sob-efeito-de-drogas\/\">Chemsex<\/a> is a colloquial term used to describe sex between men that occurs under the influence of drugs, which are taken immediately before or during sex to improve the experience.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Gamma-hydroxybutyric acid (GHB), gamma-butylactone (GBL) and closely related substances, collectively referred to as GHBRS, give euphoric and stimulating effects. Recreational use is also greater among men who engage in chemsex.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Advisory Council on Drug Misuse (ACMD) recommended reclassifying GHRBs from class C to class B, meaning that possession could be punished with up to five years in prison, instead of two years. Supply could lead to 14 years in prison for class B and C drugs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Risks associated with chemsex<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The advisers&#8217; report exposed a number of significant hazards associated with GHBRS. In the UK, GHBRS has been used to facilitate serious crimes, including murder, rape, sexual assault and theft, according to the report. He highlighted the cases of <strong>Stephen Port<\/strong> and <strong>Gerald Matovu<\/strong> as evidence of GHBRS being used as a murder weapon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Port, 41, was found guilty in 2016 of four counts of murder, 10 counts of administering a substance with intent, four counts of rape and four counts of assault by penetration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He often found his victims, all young, using dating sites and apps and inviting them to his home, where he secretly drugged them with liquid GHB in order to rape them while being knocked out. Four men died as a result.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Matovu, 25, drugged men with GHB and stole from them after meeting them for sex through dating apps like Grindr.
