The Commission for the Defense of Human Rights, Citizenship, Ethics and Parliamentary Decorum of the Legislative Chamber (CLDF) investigates a hypnosis clinic in Bras\u00edlia that offered “treatment for homosexuality”, reveals the Metr\u00f3poles<\/a> website.<\/p>\n

On the internet, the company Hipnoticus<\/a><\/strong> said that the service, which cost R$ 29,990, would generate results in six months. After making news, the company removed the term “homosexuality” from the list of treatments.<\/p>\n

According to Metr\u00f3poles, hypnosis was done through the “Psychotherapy Without Failures” method, used by hypnotherapist Gabriel Henrique de Azev\u00eado Veloso<\/strong>. Three service options were offered: sessions lasting four months, six months and eight months.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the e-mail address, on “how hypnosis works”, the company said that “the cure of diseases is accomplished through the objectivity of diagnosis and holistic treatment, offering results even before the 1st session”.<\/p>\n

The clinic also stated that “hypnosis is also the only solution to change your sexual orientation and get rid of unwanted same-sex attraction.” All of this information has been deleted from the site.<\/p>\n

The owner of the company told Metr\u00f3poles to be a hypnotherapist registered with the Holistic Therapy Self-Regulation Council (CRT), a civil society with no ties to the Federal government. Gabriel Henrique revealed that the clinic has existed since 2010. Regarding \u201ctreatment\u201d for homosexuality, he stated that \u201cthere are people who are not satisfied with this type of life. So, the treatment is offered in this perspective \u201d.<\/p>\n

Investigation<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to district deputy F\u00e1bio Felix (PSol)<\/strong>, chairman of the Human Rights Commission of CLDF, the House will activate the necessary organs for the clinic to be investigated. “This is absurd and the Human Rights Commission will undoubtedly act very harshly in this case”, he told Metr\u00f3poles.<\/p>\n
