A bill is being passed in the Chamber of Deputies that determines that chronic kidney patients, transplant patients and those living with HIV<\/a> should be prioritized in the immunization process against Covid-19. Under analysis in the Chamber of Deputies, bill 203\/21 includes the measure in the law to combat the pandemic (Law 13,979 \/ 20).<\/p>\n

Author of the proposal, deputy Mara Rocha (PSDB-AC)<\/a> agrees that health professionals and the elderly should be at the top of the list of priorities for immunization.<\/p>\n

“However, we cannot leave chronic patients under the age of 60 in the later stages of vaccination”<\/em>, he said.<\/p>\n

“They are the chronic kidney patients, transplant patients and HIV carriers, who also have enormous chances of worsening the disease due to the comorbidities that affect them and, therefore, need to be prioritized in the first lines of vaccination”,<\/em> he argued.<\/p>\n
