The Alabama’s republican state senator Alabama, Tom Whatley<\/strong>, known for his positions contrary to the protection of the rights of transgender people, accidentally “liked” a Twitter post made on the “Bambi Hardcore TG 18+” account. The information is from the LGBTQNation<\/a> channel.<\/p>\n

The senator<\/strong> had voted in favor of the SB10 bill in the state senate, criminalizing doctors who provide health care to trans people, including imprisonment for the doctor who prescribed puberty blockers and also restraining conversion therapy.<\/p>\n

According to the bill text, treatments with puberty blockers constitute “dangerous and uncontrolled human medical experimentation that can result in serious and irreversible consequences for physical and mental health”.<\/em><\/p>\n

However, researchs pointed out by LGBTQNation suggest that blockers were able to significantly reduce the risk of suicide among transgender<\/strong>teenagers, while another study also showed that treatment improves the quality of life for trans people.<\/p>\n

This is not the first time that a politician contrary to the rights of transgender people has been caught watching trans pornography. In 2018, Alex Jones<\/strong> was filmed watching a similar video.<\/p>\n

Tom Whatley<\/strong> was asked about the like in the video, but did not respond to the channel.<\/p>\n

It is worth mentioning that a study carried out by researchers from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of S\u00e3o Paulo with 20 cis women, 20 non-hormonalized trans women and another 20 with the use of hormones concluded that the two groups of trans women have a reduced size in an area called the insula, in both cerebral hemispheres.<\/p>\n

In addition, previous studies have observed that, in transgender individuals, sexual differentiation of the brain does not accompany the rest of the body.<\/p>\n

“The first brain imaging studies with transgender individuals looked for structures, regions or even the functional brain part that were more similar to the people of the gender with which trans people identified themselves.
