According to information obtained by the General Coordination for the Defense of the Rights of Children and Adolescents, the Ministry of Human Rights<\/strong>, currently under the hands of Damares Alves, has not invested a penny in actions to combat pedophilia.<\/p>\n

The Coordination stated that it is responsible for formulating and articulating actions to prevent and confront sexual violence and violations of the rights of children and adolescents, but that the ministry \u201cdoes not develop specific actions to confront pedophilia\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

Damares<\/strong>, at the head of the agenda since 2019, defends the fight against pedophilia and said that the“great challenge today is sexual violence against children in Brazil”<\/em>.With information from \u00c9poca<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It is the mission of the Ministry of Women, Family and Human Rights (MMFDH)<\/strong> to develop public policies to combat prejudice and discrimination against Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transvestites and Transsexuals (LGBT), a agenda that since 2018 has been under the minister Damares Alves<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This mission is carried out by the Board for the Promotion of the Rights of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transvestites and Transsexuals (DPLGBT).<\/strong> The Board has the responsibility to coordinate the preparation and implementation of plans, programs and projects related to LGBT rights at the national level. The Board of Directors is also responsible for coordinating pro-LGBT actions with other Federal Public Administration agencies.<\/p>\n

According to the documents obtained through the Access to Information Law<\/a>,the Ministry of Human Rights spent more than R$ 333 million this year, but did not use a cent of the R$ 4.5 million budgeted for the Promotion Policy and Defense of LGBT Rights Board between January 1, 2020 and December 7, as determined by journalist Guilherme Caetano, from \u00c9poca Magazine<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Even with Damares’ own observation of the increase in domestic violence against women during the pandemic<\/a>, until the beginning of December the portfolio had only used 44% of the budget of the Ministry of Human Rights to help the cause.<\/p>\n

Damares was “obliged by law” to approve a project for transvestites.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

In mid-November, Damares Alves<\/strong> stated that the professional training of transvestites promoted by her agenda is the result of an \u201cimposing parliamentary amendment\u201d, and that she was obliged to carry out the action.<\/a> The project she cites is a public notice to promote projects for the inclusion of LGBTQIA+ people in the formal labor market, the result<\/a> of which was announced on December 7.<\/p>\n
