In addition to \u201cAlano\u201d<\/a>, \u201cDisjointed\u201d<\/a>, \u201cRemodeling\u201d<\/a>, \u201cThe gift\u201d<\/a>, \u201cBeat 97\u201d<\/a>, \u201cAfter That Party\u201d<\/a> and \u201cAir\u201d<\/a>, another Brazilian short film that stands out in the \u201cCurta Woofs\u201d<\/strong><\/a> show, held by the SCRUFF<\/strong><\/a> app, it is “Bonde”<\/a><\/strong>, directed by Asaph Luccas. The film was elected by the jury as Best Brazilian Short Film<\/em> at the 27th edition of the MixBrasil Festival and won 2 awards at the Curta Kinoforum Festival (Canal Brazil Short Film<\/em> and Golden Butterfly Award<\/em>).<\/p>\n

In the plot, the short film presents the story of three residents of Heli\u00f3polis, the largest favela in S\u00e3o Paulo, who seek refuge from social discrimination at night in the city center of S\u00e3o Paulo. The characters are young blacks who experience different problems involving racism and LGBT phobia. The story centers on Ra\u00ed (Eric Oliveira), a gay and fat young man constantly rejected in gay apps; Lua (Alice Marcone), a trans woman who is only seen by fellow students as an object to be studied and Camis (Joyce Brito), a lesbian woman who suffers prejudice from her mother.<\/p>\n
