There is much to be expected from a country that sells itself as “the most LGBT+ friendly destination in the Caribbean”<\/em>. The island is very popular for LGBTs tourists <\/strong>for the realization of wedding ceremonies<\/strong>, including specialized professionals such as the planner<\/em> Matsy Cijntje (@lgbtweddingscuracao<\/a>)<\/strong>. Hotels are also keen to advise that their facilities are ideal for such egalitarian celebrations as the traditional Avila Beach <\/a><\/strong>and the Papagayo<\/a><\/strong>, where the Brazilian singer Ludmilla<\/a> and Brunna Gon\u00e7alves<\/a><\/strong> renewed their vows in July this year.<\/p>\n

Territory of the Netherlands, language is not a barrier for the island that has papiamento<\/strong> as a mother tongue, as the Cura\u00e7ale\u00f1os learn Dutch, English and Spanish<\/strong> at school. Altogether, about 55 cultures coexist in the country whose capital, Willemstad<\/strong>, is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site<\/em> for preserving the centuries-old architecture of its historic center (Punda).<\/p>\n

The population of Cura\u00e7ao<\/strong> is equivalent to a countryside city of S\u00e3o Paulo, like Itapetininga, for example, with 155,000 inhabitants<\/strong>. The island 35 other beaches with coves<\/strong> are spread over 444 km\u00b2<\/strong> – equivalent to 2\/3 the size of Florian\u00f3polis, but without the traffic jam. Another feature of the destination is that Cura\u00e7ao is outside the hurricane belt<\/strong>, with January as the coldest month, with an average temperature of 26.5 \u00b0C, and September as the hottest, with an average of 33 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n

It is an island frequented by personalities who seek a vacation away from the spotlight, such as Ivete Sangalo<\/strong><\/a>, Xuxa<\/a>, Eliana, Preta Gil<\/a><\/strong> and Dominique Jackson<\/strong> (the Elektra in the series\u201cPose\u201d<\/a>).
