The text was approved in the Senate with 21 photos in favor, 8 against and 3 abstentions, and also passed through the Chamber, which ratified the changes made in the Higher Chamber The information is from <a href=\"https:\/\/www1.folha.uol.com.br\/mundo\/2021\/12\/chile-aprova-casamento-gay-e-adocao-de-filhos-por-casais-do-mesmo-sexo.shtml\">Folha de S\u00e3o Paulo<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to senator <strong>Pedro Araya,<\/strong> leader of the commission that suggested changes to the proposal, the discrepancies were related to points such as designation of parentage in documents, labor rights and updating of the gender identity law, which, when it was written, did not include gay marriage .<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As for children generated by assisted reproduction, parentage is limited to the two people who underwent the process. The use of <strong>surrogates<\/strong> is still prohibited.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The bill had already been approved by deputies on the 23rd, by 101 votes in favour, 30 against and 2 abstentions.
