The Coordination of Policies for Sexual Diversity, from the Department of Justice and Citizenship, under the coordination of the lawyer Marcelo Gallego<\/strong>, opened an investigation against the host of the Brazilian TV show “Amigos do Le\u00e3o”, Gilberto Barros<\/strong>, accused of homophobia.<\/p>\n

The charges are based on the State Law number 10.948\/2001, which prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation. The information was provided by the State of S\u00e3o Paulo’s Government Department of Justice and Citizenship’s official site<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Barros<\/strong> was giving an interview to the Brazilian TV host Sonia Abr\u00e3o and remembered the time when he worked for the Globo Radio, in 1984: “I had to wake up at about 2:00 or 2:30 a.m. and when I parked my car on the garage I had to witness two men kissing, since there was a gay nightclub right up ahead. I don’t have anything against it, but still, I get sick, I am human. It was so long ago, you can imagine, I had just arrived from a small town. Nowadays, if they want to do that in front of me they can, I will beat them both up, but they still can do it”.<\/em><\/p>\n
