El d\u00eda despu\u00e9s del baile, sus padres lo llevaron a un psiquiatra para \u00abcurarlo\u00bb de su homosexualidad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Afortunadamente para Murphy y las generaciones de futuros fan\u00e1ticos, su psiquiatra estaba mucho m\u00e1s informado sobre la sexualidad humana que los padres de Murphy en ese momento. Despu\u00e9s de \u00abvarias sesiones\u00bb, el m\u00e9dico habl\u00f3 en privado con los padres de Murphy y les dio una opci\u00f3n. M\u00e1s tarde a\u00f1adi\u00f3 \u00ab<em>si hubiera tenido este sentimiento de aceptaci\u00f3n y pertenencia, qu\u00e9 diferente habr\u00eda sido mi vida<\/em>\u00ab.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Murphy hizo las revelaciones al lanzar su \u00faltima pel\u00edcula, The Prom, que se estrenar\u00e1 el 11 de diciembre en Netflix y protagonizada por <strong>Merryl Streep<\/strong> y <strong>Nicole Kidman<\/strong>. La adaptaci\u00f3n del \u00e9xito musical de Broadway del mismo nombre de Matthew Sklar en 2018 es su \u00faltimo esfuerzo de transmisi\u00f3n de este a\u00f1o, que se suma a los \u00e9xitos de taquilla de Hollywood y Ratched.
