“Being a porn actor is very commonplace, especially on Twitter”, says Vitor Guedes

No wonder he earned the title of “sex emperor”. It was a construction of a profile, according to Vitor Guedes, a 30-year-old from Pernambuco who always dreamed of working with sex. Just as no one becomes a porn actor overnight, or for posting solo content on digital platforms, not everyone has this title on the market.

In the best Caligula style, the sex-addicted Roman emperor, Vitor, a Brazilian from Recife, built his fame on a lot of live sex shows, scenes for Brazilian producers and feats on his social networks. The Inside Porn column talked to him.

You’re from Recife, but you hardly still have the “most beautiful accent in the world”, the Pernambuco accent. What happened?

It’s true. After I discovered myself as a male prostitute and started working in this industry, I started to travel a lot, always in the Rio-São Paulo axis. I think, of course, I ended up losing my accent a lot. But when I get angry I still spit a “visse”.

Visse! And have you always wanted to work with sex? If you didn’t work on it, what do you think you would be doing today?

Do you know that I don’t? I always thought that Physical Education would be my area. One day I watched a documentary about prostitutes and I wanted to be one, because I thought it was something very bad ass. See how crazy! Even the perils of the profession I found interesting.

So I can say that, after that, I wanted to be a male prostitute, but I didn’t even dream of being a porn actor. I believe that if I weren’t in the sex market today, I would be a physical education professional.

I know you started posting videos. Are these online platforms actually marketing for work as a porn actor or do they make more money as an escort?

I started at Xvideos, which was “my house”. Then I went to Twitter. I always used Xvideos teasers to call people from there to the other network and vice versa. It worked and I gained followers. It was marketing for my escort work.

People see how I fuvk and want to hire me. This is natural and it really works. Being an actor and a male prostitute makes money, it depends on the way you work, and which one you focus more on. If you focus on both, the money is better. Can’t complain about that.

You debuted at Mundo Mais, today you are filming for Hotboys. How is the experience in national porn and what do you think about the quality of Brazilian gay porn?

I started at Mundo Mais, soon after I was invited to Hotboys and I gained experience from these two producers. It’s a good thing because you end up learning recording techniques, angles, positioning, light, direction, script. Of course, if you’re focused on it. If you go there and just record it, it’s silly, and you don’t get more out of it.

It’s interesting to get a little bit out of it all, not just the sex itself. It helps a lot in the production of our solo videos. Brazilian porn is gaining more space and I can say that it is better than many foreign productions, with plot and sex itself. In recording quality it still lacks a bit, but Brazilian porn has the capacity to surpass any country. It’s all about investment. As long as producers do not invest in what is good, which is the raw material, the actor, it is difficult to be in first place.

Do you have plans to film abroad? I’ve seen you praising Viktor Rom out there…

Recording abroad was never a bigger goal. I like to record here, for national producers, to have this contact. If I happen to record outside, I would record it. I even recorded for some outsiders, but here in Brazil. I have never traveled abroad to record.

Viktor Rom is an inspiration, he always has been, especially when I started using Twitter. Little by little, it brought my essence. You look and like a person’s work a lot and look for inspiration, but in your own way. I don’t want to make a career based on someone else’s career. I want to build my way, with my quirks, my tics and defects.

Do you think there is a trivialization of the term “porn actor”, especially with the creation of platforms like Onlyfans?

Yes. Being a porn actor is very commonplace, especially on Twitter. It’s not enough to just drop a video and call yourself an actor. The same goes for Onlyfans. “Onlyfans Actor…”.

You have to join a production company to be a porn actor. They are actors, they create content, stories, plots, they direct, they are actors as much as I am, I understand that. The question is who posts solo content, has never recorded, doesn’t know what a production is like… We need to be careful about trivializing the term.

And actually, it’s not a profession for everyone, right? What do you think it takes to be a real actor?

There are a lot of ass and dick inspector out there. They always find “flaws” in everything. To be an actor, you have to like what you’re doing. If it’s for the money, give up, because you’re going to do mediocre work. Whoever likes the dirty above all does porn, to show off, to record, who takes pleasure in it. When someone says they enjoyed a video of mine, I feel enormous pleasure.

Where does the title of “sex emperor” come from?

In part, for the performance. I did a show at the carnival and I invited a producer from Hotboys and he went undercover. The house was crowded, it was me and another boy for the show. I called some people to go up on stage and interact. This producer got impressed with me, said I had charisma with the audience, and said, “you are worthy of an emperor.”

So, the title came from producer Hotboys for that reason, for the live sex performance. The live sex show market was weak here in Rio and I was the first to make a live show interacting with the public, who came to have sex with me in front of other people.

Seeing your career, you started being active and, little by little, was “opening up”. Today we see your scenes as passive. Was this a strategic shift?

In fact, when I started, my intention was to be versatile, it always has been. It turns out that one thing led to another and I was just active in the scenes. In the first few recordings I didn’t even take the guy’s penis or anything. But my desire has always been to be versatile, because being versatile is the new basic black dress, because we win on both sides. Laughter.

I ended up being rated as the top by the audience, although in all interviews I always claimed to be versatile. Of course it’s easier to be active, but I had the need to be passive, to be versatile, and it was something strategic, yes. I did it at the time people were asking for it.

And what was the repercussion of this change?

When a passive scene came out in Mundo Mais, it was “insane”. I didn’t do it for a while. Now that I’m back to passive on the scene, with my current boyfriend, it’s been making a lot of success. Prejudice always has.

There are fans who are disappointed when they see my passive scene. There are people who think that just because you are active you can never reverse roles. Full 21st century and we hear this…

What do you think of Prep? Make use?

Prep is extremely important for anyone working with sex. I use it, I am accompanied by an infectious disease specialist, and despite the prevention only of HIV, there are other STIs that we need to monitor. Anyone who uses it right knows it’s the right thing to do. You take care of yourself and your partner. Prep save lives.

Can you be a porn actor, escort and date at the same time?

If I cook, wash dishes and sweep the house, that’s where I take it. If someone dates me, they need to understand my life, all this rush that is being a porn actor. I won’t stop being an escort or an actor, but I’ll want to date too. These are stairs that we go up together. Yes, you can.

It’s true that your boyfriend/fiancé saw your movies, booked a show, but you went without sex for six months?

He lives in Belgium, saw my movies on Xvideos and fell in love. He came to Brazil, contracted a show with me, asked to stay for four hours, took me to dinner, but we didn’t have sex. Over the days, no sex, so I found it strange. He returned to Belgium and after six months I went there. Only then do we have sex.

Is it the same who you film with today? I saw several scenes of you guys together on Twitter.

We’re not together anymore. We couldn’t reconcile the jealousy, which was “good” at first, but it became difficult. It was a wonderful two years.

Today I’m dating someone else, who’s also into porn, Ferjinho, who creates solo content and we started recording together, which has been good for both of us. There are people who think it’s marketing, and it looks like marketing, but it’s not. The day by day it is prove.

How do you exploit social media for your own benefit?

If Xvideos is “a mother”, Twitter is “a father”. Fans who watch me on Xvideos interact with me on Twitter. My intention is to get closer and closer to my fans. They defend me from haters, they are there for me. Twitter helps in this, to bring people who like my work closer, and also to get feedback from dissemination.

Can you use visibility in these networks to advocate for your causes and things you believe in? How?

I’m not a militant, but whenever I want to say something I use Instagram, do lives, and talk about important issues, always in relation to sex. One cause I always advocate is in relation to bottoms. The bottom person are always trivialized in this industry, they always point out defects and the top is always perfect. That needs to change.

Working with sex is also saying “no”. Have you ever denied jobs or scenes? Why?

Nobody is forced to do what they don’t want, no matter what the paycheck. I already said “no” to the scene, no to the client and no to shows. For things that didn’t fit me.

On stage, I’ve already refused to film with actors I don’t like. Nowadays I already say that I don’t record with “so and so”. There are clients who are “cute”, but I’ve had experiences with people who think they pay and you are property. I’ve heard “I’m paying” and that sucks.
