Eddie Prim, founder of the soccer Sereyos, dies of covid-19

Eddie Prim, architect and urban planner who founded the gay soccer team Sereyos (Florianópolis), died of covid-19 last Friday, 30, while treating a lymphoma.

The Sereyos Sport Club is an inclusive sport project aimed at the LGBT+ population and minorities in the Greater Florianópolis region. The group emerged in 2017, with soccer aimed at the male homosexual and bisexual public in order to provide safe space for sports and recreation activities, as well as combating homophobia in sport. In a year of activity, the team consolidated and expanded, also creating categories for volleyball, functional exercise and women’s soccer, becoming an important physical activity environment for traditionally marginalized audiences on the sports circuit.
