One of the preferred tourist destinations by the LGBTQIA+ public, Ipanema competes for the Best Gay Beach in the World award.. Entitled “Fun in The Sun”, the vote Promoted by the GayCities website continues until December 15th. With information from the magazine Veja.
In addition to Ipanema beach, competing in this category are Playa Los Muertos (Mexico), Playa de la Bassa Rodona (Spain), 12th Street Beach (USA), Higgs Beach (USA), Blac’s Beach (USA), Diamond Head Beach Park ( USA), Super Paradise (Greece) and Will Rogers State Beach (USA).
Immortalized by photographer Mario Testino, in images that have traveled the world, Posto 8 in Ipanema is considered a point of LGBTQIA+ and one of the main spaces for sociability in the community Also known as Farme Gay, this is one of the most frequented stretches, also, by tourists.
