Kit Harington, known for playing Jon Snow in Game of Thrones, has been cast in Slave Play, a provocative play that addresses issues of race and sexuality in contemporary America. According to a source from The Sun, the production promises to explore intense themes, including the use of sex toys and eccentric practices, with a focus on the full frontal nudity of Harington’s character.

In the controversial West End production, the character Kaneisha, his lover, makes comments about his “white and wrinkled” penis before undressing on stage.

Previously, Harington expressed discomfort with sexual objectification, highlighting that being labeled a “heartthrob” is a humiliating experience. The 37-year-old actor, who also played Milo in the 2014 film Pompeii, shared: “Sometimes, I feel that my craft is undervalued because of my sexual appeal. And that doesn’t sit well with me”.

“Slave Play” tells the story of three interracial couples whose therapy involves acting out situations reminiscent of the slavery era in the United States. Two of the performances scheduled for June at the Noel Coward Theatre will be exclusive to a “completely Black audience”.
