aro Editorial presents “Afterglow – Garotos Brilhantes”, the long-awaited sequel to the novel “Golden Boys” written by Phil Stamper. This time the friends are focused on enjoying their senior year while thinking about their future after high school. In the meantime, they will realize that their choices and distance can influence their relationships.
About the story

The plot of “Afterglow” revolves around a group of friends in their final year of high school as they prepare for cokkege and the uncertainty of the future that awaits them. Phil Stamper explores the stories of Sal, Gabriel, Reese and Heath whose paths, although individual, are connected.
Sal is a boy who dreams of entering politics and after talking to his aunt, he feels ready to start investing. Meanwhile, Gabriel, who founded the LGBTQIA+ Rights Defense Group at school faces difficulties in his long-distance relationship.
Heath, on the other hand, has his future secured due to a basketball scholarship, however he feels anxious about every move. Finally there is Reese, who wants to pursue fashion design but ends up going in directions that he still doesn’t feel safe sharing.

“This is one of the best young adult authors out there – writing intricate, layered characters that express teenagers’ most complex emotions. “Garotos Brilhantes” left me longing for a simpler time of friends and parties – a time that was also complicated due to hormones and emotions running high. Wonderful” – THE STORYGRAPH

“Afterglow – Garotos Brilhantes” is the long-awaited sequel to “Golden Boys”. In the first book, we follow the last summer of the four friends when each one goes their own way to explore their passions and plans for the future.
