The producer Bel Ami has hired its first black model after 27 years of existence. His name is Kedar Marchetti, who could already be watched on the studio’s webcam videos, and now has just won his first solo scene. However, Marchetti is still reluctant to do sex scenes.

Previously, there has only been one black actor in one of the studio’s films, the American Adam Dexter, but it was only during a crossover with Colt Studios. In 2018, Bel Ami went to Colombia and shot a movie with another non-white actor, the Latin Mario Borges, without a signed contract.

Bel Ami is one of the world’s most famous producers within the segment of gay porn, and is also well-known for only hiring young white men with no body hair. According to the French magazine Têtu, this is“a small revolution in a white-only environment” that has a“disturbing lack of diversity”.

The movies producer’s name is a reference to the romance “Bel Ami”, written by Guy Maupassant, and its founder, Lanning Jánosov, used the alias Georges Duroy, in reference to the protagonist of the classic French novel. The studios were located on Slovakia, however, on the last few years, they have been transferred to Cape Town, in South Africa.
