In its 2021 edition, iBest added 31 new categories to its awards, including segments in music, humor, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance) initiatives, and LGBTQIA+. With a total of 81 categories, the awards select the finalists through an algorithm that quantifies initiatives, mathematically identifying the highlights of the online universe.
On this Tuesday, July 6th, iBest announced the “Top10” in the LGBTQIA+ category, which also received over 3 million votes from the public.

In this phase of the Top10, the audience can vote for their favorite finalist until August 29th through the website vote.premioibest.com. The winners of the award will be announced in November.
For Marcos Wettreich, CEO of iBest, the award also serves as a compass for the market by indicating the direction of Brazilian consumer interest. “The iBest functions as a digital certification for the best in the country, anchoring the selection of finalists to metrics of engagement, reach, and relevance, and allowing the most significant ones to have the visibility and recognition they deserve.” , says Wettreich.
The iBest was first held in 1995 and continued until 2008, during which time it was not only one of the largest internet awards in Brazil but also in the world. In 2003, it was acquired by Brasil Telecom (currently Oi). In 2020, Marcos Wettreich once again took control of the brand and relaunched the award, expanded and focused on the entire digital universe.
iBest announces the launch of iGency
In the second half of the year, iBest announced that it will expand its role as a market reference by commercially offering new services based on its algorithm, which is used as the basis for defining the finalists. The iGency platform will be available to influencers and the companies that hire them starting in October.
