Philip Morris Brasil (PMB) was, for the second time, highlighted as one of the best companies for LGBTQIA+ employees, according to the Equidade BR survey by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). The tobacco company achieved a perfect score of 100 in the third edition of the survey, released on June 19.

The HRC Equidade BR survey, conducted in partnership with Instituto +Diversidade and the Fórum de Empresas e Direitos LGBTI+, assesses inclusive policies, support for diverse cultures, internal training, and public commitment to LGBTQIA+ rights. PMB was recognized for its initiatives, including the Stripes affinity group, founded in 2017, and the global policy for “Trans and Gender Transitioning” individuals.
Additionally, PMB maintains a partnership with the TransEmpregos portal, promoting job opportunities for transgender individuals. The company has also been awarded the Municipal Seal of Citizenship and Diversity by the São Paulo City Hall twice.
PMB’s inclusive policies cover same-sex unions in its benefits practices, such as daycare assistance, marriage leave, and parental leave. The company also promotes educational initiatives to combat discrimination and provides psychological and social support for LGBTQIA+ employees through its Support Program.
In 2022, PMB conducted a demographic census on inclusion and diversity, essential for developing action plans that promote equity and inclusion for everyone, regardless of their personal characteristics.
