Country singer Roberta Miranda (64) made a post on Twitter after Fantástico (Rede Globo) aired excerpts from Britney Spears’ controversial comment, endorsing the #FreeBritney campaign. “Fans are everything in the life of an artist”, he wrote, with an image of the protest on behalf of Spears.

The campaign #FreeBritney (Freedom for Britney, in free translation), happens because Britney Spears has been under her father’s tutelage since 2008, and recently she demonstrated that she no longer wants her father to have full control of her assets.
“I don’t understand what custody is for, especially for someone as capable of doing everything as I know she is” – said Felicia Culotta, Britney’s former assistant and friend, in the documentary “Framing Britney Spears”, which recently arrived at GloboPlay.
Guardianship occurs when the court considers that the person is unable to take care of himself and, since then, a relative has been able to apply to a court to control that person’s business. These decisions are more common in the elderly, the disabled or people who are very sick.
Britney Spears spoke on Twitter about the production indirectly, not commenting on the controversies of the documentary.
“I can’t believe this Toxic performance is from 3 years ago !!! I will always love being on stage … But I am taking the time to learn to be a normal person … I just love to enjoy the basics of daily life”, she wrote.
“Each person has his story and his opinion about other people’s stories !!!! We all have so many beautiful and brilliant lives. Remember, no matter what we think we know about a person’s life, this is nothing compared to the real person who lives behind the lens “- concluded.
Britney has also stated, through her lawyer, that she will not appear while her guardianship is with her father.
“My client informed me that she is afraid of her father. She will not perform again while her father is in charge of her career”, said lawyer Sam Ingham.
