Paramount has just unveiled its new trailer for “Dashing in december” (still untranslated, no release date for Brazil), an LGBTQ+ love story as it matures, says the English website Gay Times.
“Fuller House” star Juan Pablo Di Pace will star in the film alongside cinema icon Andie MacDowell and heartthrob Pete Porte from “Young And The Restless”.
The film follows Porte’s character, Wyatt, a modest and suitable city guy who returns to his rural hometown for the holidays. Along the way, he meets Heath – a local with a heart of gold.
It will be full of romance, holiday joy and, of course, outbreaks of anguish here and there.
Meghan Hooper, Head of Original Films and Series at Paramount opened the film by saying: “This wellness project captures the importance of telling inclusive stories about the power of love and the spirit of vacation, all in one.”
The holiday season brings the release of a series of LGBTQ+ films.
The Hallmark Channel, which is known for its conservative and heterosexual productions, is preparing for its first LGBTQ+ holiday film, “The Christmas House”, starring Jonathan Bennett. Hulu, Lifetime and Tello Films also announced projects that revolve around LGBTQ+ couples with “Happiest Season”, “The Christmas House” and “I Hate New Years”.
And it doesn’t end here:
The Entertainment Weekly website revealed images of one of the first Christmas movies starring a gay couple, “The Christmas Setup”, from the American cable channel Lifetime. The channel is scheduled to debut on December 12th. The film stars a couple in real life: Ben Lewis (Arrow, The Handmaid’s Tale) and Blake Lee (Fam, Parks and Recreation). Veteran Fran Drescher (The Nanny star) and Ellen Wong (Glow) are with them.
