Jair Bolsonaro’s party, PL, notified the Superior Electoral Court after the manifestations by Pabllo Vittar on behalf of former President Lula during the Lollapalooza festival. The objective will be to investigate the irregular realization of electoral propaganda.
“Our main intention with the action is that the TSE instruct the organizers of the event so that they also instruct the artists not to anticipate, either positively or negatively, before the opportune period”, explained to GLOBO the lawyer Caroline Lacerda, from Tarcísio Vieira de Carvalho Neto‘s office, who works in the president’s campaign.
During the show held this Friday, Pabllo made the audience say “Fora Bolsonaro” (Out Bolsonaro) and raised a flag with Lula’s face. According to the PL, the demonstration “hurts numerous legal provisions”.
“This is why the political manifestation in more than one show, one in absolute disapproval of the pre-candidate Jair Bolsonaro and another in open early propaganda in favor of Luiz Inácio negative and anticipated in addition to promoting a true showmice, regardless of whether the event was funded by the candidate or if he was present at the act”, says the document.
As the audience for Lollapalooza was 100,000 people, Bolsonaro’s party argues that there was a “priceless reproduction of the manifestations on the internet”, causing the propaganda to be brought to the attention of “a very high number of voters, with serious damage to legitimacy of the upcoming lawsuit”. The caption asks the TSE to “immediately” notify the organization of the event, to prevent any other irregular electoral propaganda from being carried out, under penalty of a fine for non-compliance.
It is worth mentioning that next Sunday, the PL will promote a mega-event to gather supporters with Bolsonaro, in Brasília. Initially, the invitation was called the “launch of the pre-candidacy” of the president for reelection, but, fearful of violating the electoral law, the legend started to call it an “affiliation act”.
