On December 17, the duo Cais, formed by musicians Fábio Lamounier and Peo Tavares, released the video clip for the song “Vento”. The track was born from a piano piece and poem composed in 2016 by Fábio, shortly before the first compositions of the duo’s first EP, “Neblina”. The material was revisited, joined and adapted into a new song during the quarantine.

“Vento” won a minimalist video clip that mixes scenes recorded in an empty apartment in São Paulo with images from Fábio Lamounier’s audiovisual collection. The performance takes of the duo were recorded alternately by the artists themselves and the costumes were remotely provided by Studio Nuda, by Bruno Sales.

Intuitively and experimenting with new musical nuances for the duo, the musical production of the track is by Siso, a producer who also signs “Bad Astral”, the last track released by Cais. The marked beat and the piano bring movement and softness to the music that carries several metaphorical images in its lyrics, relating elements of nature with deep feelings.

“‘Vento’ was born as ‘Onda’: in 2016 I made a small piano piece, which I called ‘Onda’. Years later, Pedro and I used this basic piano to create lyrics and melody for her, transforming it into the song ‘Vento’. She tells a narrative: to get involved with someone, get lost and then find yourself in time”, say Fábio Lamounier. Peo points out that “‘Vento’ is a very sincere song and carries a video clip consistent with his proposal: simple and introspective”.

The duo is preparing to release their first album in 2021, with new tracks and reinterpretations, following the same musical line proposed in the last releases, mixing beat pop, piano and a lot of poetry.

Formed by the musicians Fábio Lamounier and Peo Tavares, the duo started their copyright work in September 2018 and have already been nominated as a bet by Deezer and Papel Pop, in addition to having participated in the second edition of YouTube Next Up Artists in October 2019. Composed on the piano, the Cais’ songs come to life with synthesizers and lyrics that address issues related to LGBT affectivity.

Cais is competing for the POC AWARDS 2020 in the MPB category: Brazilian POC Musician.
