With experience from two elections running for PSOL, they gay activist Todd Tomorrow is now running for Partido Democrático Trabalhista (PDT) to run for concilour in São Paulo and says that is going to join the election with a combative spirit to “make it right” because of 2018. Because of the social isolation, internet will probably be the stage for direct communication with the voters.
Last Saturday Todd shared on his facebook a screenshot of an unusual conversation in a dating app of an elector saying that he would “put” something in him. After that, the voter corrected himself on the comments “I’m going to vote* for you! I’m sorry!”. In his picture caption, Tomorrow joked: “It’s fine, sweetheart…”.
When asked if he will be an user of dating apps in the voting period, as he did in 2016, Todd confirmed: “Yes, I’ll use Scruff.”
In the exclusive interview that he did for GAY BLOG BR and that was published on August 1st, tomorrow also told how he intends to deal with the animosity between ciristas (people who voted for Ciro Gomes) and lulistas (people who voted for Lula): “There is a lot of envy on politics. Betrayls, complos. Left or right. It’s a real snake nest. I can count on one hand the people that have exchanged something with me without any further intentions. I know that I am not in politics to make friends, but it is a very topical environment. Right now, we are in the worst year of Brazilian history. I am close to Ciro’s economical program and Lula’s social one. I have some critics here and there, but they are leaderships that I admire. Those two have already worked together and they conquered memorable results. The best for the progressist field would be if this fight was over. They don’t have to be friends, no. But the truly pathetic part is how social network change all of this. I do not take part in it. My enemy is the reactionarism”, he said.
