This year, Club Metrópole, in Recife, Pernambuco, celebrates 22 years as one of the main cultural and meeting points for the LGBTQIA+ community in the Northeast of Brazil. Founded in 2002, the venue is recognized as a platform for queer culture and resistance. The celebration is scheduled for next Tuesday (30), at 10 p.m., on the eve of the holiday.

Victor Hugo Bione, artistic director of the club, emphasizes the importance of the venue as a meeting and celebration place over the years. “We celebrate not only the club’s anniversary, but also the impact we have on the community, bringing and highlighting new talents,” says Bione.

The event will feature Spanish DJ and producer Dani Toro, who specializes in tribal house, a genre that has become a trademark of Club Metrópole over its history. In addition to Toro, the party will present a diverse selection, including DJs Mara Borges (São Paulo), Thommaz (Pernambuco), and resident DJs Ary Z and Alê.

The ‘Brasil Floor’ (Pista Brasil), known for its focus on Brazilian music, will feature performances by Eliza Mell, a romantic brega singer, and Vitinho Polêmico, a representative of brega funk. The pool area will showcase DJ Josa and a performance by Polly Pocket, a Beyoncé cover artist.

Tickets for Club Metrópole’s anniversary are already available on the Sympla platform. Tickets range from R$ 40.00 for full-price entry to R$ 20.00 for half-price entry, corresponding to the first lot.
