If it still enchants us today, imagine around 1502, when only nature reigned in this land. Despite holding this title, for about 200 years, many did not want to accomplish this journey to Noronha. It can be paid either before the trip or upon arrival in Noronha. It’s important to keep the receipt for the fee payment as it will be required during the check-in for your return flight. And if you have stayed for additional days beyond what you’ve already paid for, you will need to pay a fine and the fee before your departure.
What to do
It’s impossible to visit this paradise and not explore the local Tamar Project, which offers open activities to the public during the night for observing and learning about turtle nesting. In Vila dos Remédios, you will find the center of the island, with restaurants, shops, and where you should go if you want to enjoy the nightlife of the town. There are many tours in Fernando de Noronha, and you’ll have plenty of options for hiking. You can also visit the Boldró Lookout, take an Island Tour, and explore the famous 2 Irmãos hill. The favorite tour of travelers is the boat tour, where you can marvel at the nuances of the sea and perhaps even spot some dolphins.
Beaches
Considered a romantic destination, Fernando de Noronha offers plenty of beaches for you to enjoy this trip as a couple. Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, you’ll run out of days to explore all the beaches scattered throughout the archipelago. One of the few with commerce nearby, at Cachorro`s beach, you’ll find some tables and umbrellas for visitors. It’s a small beach with natural pools during low tide. Fernando de Noronha has had more than one beach in the ranking of the most beautiful and paradisiacal beaches in the world, with Sancho`s bay and Porcos bay being prime examples. But you also need to explore Golfinhos bay, Meio`s beach, Porto`s beach, and many more.
