Rio de Janeiro’s nude beach reopens with masks

Nude beach Abricó, in Rio de Janeiro, will reopen on December 5, starting at 11 am, but this time with measures to prevent covid-19, with the rules of social distance needing to be followed and the mandatory use of masks. The information came from the newspaper O GLOBO. The date was chosen to be the eve of World Naturism Day – celebrated on December 6th.

The Abricó Naturist Association organized the “Welcome back, Abricó“, an event open to the public that will feature a conversation circle about naturism. Pedro Ribeiro, president of the Brazilian Federation of Naturism and secretary of the Naturist Association of Praia do Abricó, celebrates his return safely. According to him, every year, in December, the group holds the event “Welcome, summer”, but this time it will be “Welcome back, Abricó” with the right to a cake and congratulations to the birthdays.

“We are going to reflect on naturism through a great chat between the regulars, talking about what the movement is. Most of the visitors are not naturists, but follow the rules of nudity when going to the beach. , representatives of the association are always there to explain what our philosophy of life is “ – Ribeiro said.

Claudio Haliuc said that the event will be important to receive new supporters of nudism, in addition to spreading concepts of naturism. Before the pandemic, Abricó received about 100 people daily on summer weekends.

“We usually receive many tourists and curious about naturism, it is very interesting. We hope that the pandemic will give a truce to stabilize us again, but always taking care” – said Haliuc.
