The “TODXS NÓS Inclusive Language Guide”, launched by HBO Brazil as part of the public relations campaign of the original series “TODXS NÓS”, received the CSR & Diversity Awards as the Best Diversity Initiative of the year. Promoted by PR News, the award evaluated projects from all over the world.
The CSR & Diversity Awards is an annual PR News award aimed at recognizing communicators who use their platforms for the benefit of society and the wider international community. According to organizers, each of the finalists amplify the voices of minority groups and are dedicated to social causes. Campaigns, initiatives, professionals, teams and talents are helping to redefine the role of organizations in the fight for global change.
The guide was developed by HBO with the support of the consultancy specialized in inclusive language Diversity BBox and with the support of a professor graduated in Journalism from ECA-USP and with a Master’s and Doctorate in Linguistics from FFLCH-USP Eduardo Calbucci.

THE SERIES
In the series TODXS NÓS, Clara Gallo gives life to Rafa, 18 years old, pansexual and non-binary, who decides to leave his family in the interior of São Paulo and move to the house of his cousin, Vini (Kelner Macêdo), in capital. Vini already shares the space with her best friend, Maia (Julianna Gerais), and both are surprised to discover that Rafa identifies with the neutral pronoun and not with the feminine or masculine gender. Upon arrival, Rafa explains, for example, that is prime – and not prima (‘girl cousin’, in portuguese) – of Vini.
TODXS NÓS is a production made entirely with HBO Latin America’s own investments. The series is under the general direction of Vera Egypt, who also signs the direction of the episodes and script along with Daniel Ribeiro. The scripts have the collaboration of Alice Marcone and Thays Berbe. The production is by Luis F. Peraza, Roberto Rios, Eduardo Zaca and Claudia Clauhs, on HBO Latin America Originals; Gil Ribeiro, Marcia Vinci and Margarida Ribeiro, from Coyote, and Heitor Dhalia and Egisto Betti, from Paranoïd Filmes. The TODXS NOS series is available from HBO GO.
