On September 19, Miley Cyrus began her performance on the 2020 iHeartRadio Festival with a cover of “Heart of Glass”, by Blondie. The singer, who has already covered songs by Metallica, Pink Floyd, Nirvana and The Beatles, shortly after performed three of her own songs: “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart”, “Who Owns My Heart” and “Midnight Sky”.
On Twitter, Debbie Harry said that Cyrus “nailed” the performance and shared its link.

In 2003, the Rolling Stone magazine ranked “Heart of Glass” at the 255th place on its list about the 500 greatest songs of all times. Written by Deborah Harry and by the guitar player Chris Stein, “Heart of Glass” was one of Blondie‘s biggest hits. It is one of the highlights of the band’s third studio album, Parallel Lines, being released as a single in January 1979 and topping the charts in several countries. It was the 50th most played song on Brazilian Radio in 1979.
