Singer Harry Styles spoke openly about his fluid sense of fashion and not being “limited” to men’s clothing alone. The information is from Insider.
“You can never overdo the clothes too much. There is no such thing,” said the 26-year-old star in a new cover story for Vogue magazine in December 2020.
“The people I admired in music – Prince and David Bowie and Elvis and Freddie Mercury and Elton John – they are such showmen,” he said. “As a child, I was completely mind-blowing.”
For the cover of Vogue, Styles wore a flowing Gucci dress with lace trim and became the first man to appear alone in the magazine. Her other photoshoot looks included a kilt by Comme des Garçons Homme Plus and plaid wide leg pants by Gucci.
The singer also said that the “barriers” between what is considered male and female clothing are “disintegrating”, which leads to more creative freedom.
“I go to the stores sometimes and find myself looking at women’s clothes thinking they are amazing,” he said. “It is like anything – whenever you are putting barriers in your own life, you are just limiting yourself. There is so much joy in playing with clothes. “
He added: “I never really thought about what it means – it just becomes that extended part of creating something.”
O senso de estilo do cantor de “Watermelon Sugar” evoluiu desde sua época como membro do One Direction, o grupo que o levou à fama e anunciou seu hiato em 2015.
Styles has become a fashion icon who takes risks with his clothing choices, whether acting or appearing in photo shoots. The singer’s clothes can also be credited to his own stylist, Harry Lambert, and Alessandro Michele, the creative director of Gucci that he has known and collaborated with for years.
